Family Day at Standard Chartered – together not only on special occasions
on February 17, 2026On 7 February, our Warsaw office was once again filled with special guests. Family Day is one of many initiatives through which we support our employees and their families throughout the year. Parents, children, partners and spouses have the opportunity to spend time together, see what our office looks like and better understand our company’s culture answer the question that is asked regularly in many homes: ‘What do you actually do at work?’
Family Day – a celebration for the whole family
The initiative in its current form was launched in 2023 as a campaign under the slogan: ‘Bring your parents to work.’ Year after year, the event has changed, becoming a real family celebration. The programme invariably includes tours of the office, the opportunity to learn the secrets of our work, souvenir photos in a photo booth and sweet treats. Each edition also brings something new – this year there were creative workshops, and in previous years we organised sessions on cyber security for children and seniors, among other things.
Activities throughout the year
Family Day is just one of many initiatives that Standard Chartered organises for families. The winter day camps co-financed by the company have just come to an end. This year, the children set off on a metaphorical 5-day trip around the world and took on the roles of superheroes. The day camps support working parents – children are picked up from the office and return there when their mum or dad finish work. We also organise similar day camps in the summer.
In addition, every year we invite the youngest employees to a Santa Claus party in a playroom adapted to different age groups. In the summer, we meet for a family picnic in a relaxed beach atmosphere. Having fun together, integrating and spending time together builds relationships not only within teams, but also between entire families.
Support for families
We also provide daily support for families – family members can join health insurance packages (including both children and parents of our employees), sports cards and the Unmind app, which supports mental health.
At Standard Chartered, we believe that the workplace is not just an office and responsibilities, but also a community where there is space for loved ones. Because when we talk about employee wellbeing, we also talk about their families – regardless of the formal status of the relationship or age.
