Standard Chartered granted FINMA licences to open new Swiss Representative Office

26 May 2026, Geneva, Switzerland – Standard Chartered today announces that it has received regulatory approval from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority to open a new representative office* in Geneva, Switzerland, further strengthening its Europe footprint and unique cross-border banking capabilities for financial institution and corporate clients across the Bank’s Corporate & Investment Banking business. The Representative Office is planned to open in the Summer of 2026.

The opening of a Representative Office in Switzerland underscores Standard Chartered’s commitment to Europe and reflects its strategy of connecting clients to sustainable growth opportunities across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Srini Nanduri has been appointed Head of Representative Office, Switzerland. Srini brings deep multinational corporate and financial institution client coverage expertise and will be based in Geneva.
