Standard Chartered announces the successful financing of four Airbus A321neo and five Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft for United Airlines

London, UK and New York, US – 11 August 2026. Standard Chartered is pleased to announce the successful financing of four Airbus A321neo and five Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft for United Airlines, supporting the carrier’s ongoing fleet optimization and fuel efficiency strategy.

The Bank acted as Lead Arranger and Initial Lender for the approximately USD390 million transaction. The financing supports United Airlines’ continued investment in next generation narrowbody aircraft, which offer superior customer experience and improved fuel efficiency and operational performance.
