Standard Chartered supports EUR1.44 billion financing for Perigus Energy’s pan‑European onshore renewables platform

London, 26 May 2026 – Standard Chartered today announced that it has acted as Initial Arranger and Hedging Counterparty on a EUR1.4 billion financing supporting Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ (CIP) acquisition and continued development of Perigus Energy, a newly launched pan‑European onshore renewable energy platform.

Perigus Energy was launched following CIP’s acquisition of Ørsted’s European onshore renewable energy portfolio through its flagship fund, CI V. The portfolio spans Ireland, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain, and includes onshore wind, solar and battery energy storage assets.

The financing is structured as a portfolio‑based facility, supporting both the acquisition of the portfolio and its ongoing construction and development. The facilities comprise a senior term loan, capex facility and ancillary facilities.

The portfolio has a total operational and under-construction capacity of 826 MW. It currently produces clean electricity to power approximately 600,000 European households, with additional capacity under development across its core European markets.

Philippe Tabouis, Head of Infrastructure and Development Finance Group, Europe, Standard Chartered, said: “This transaction demonstrates how portfolio financing can support the efficient scaling of diversified renewable energy platforms across Europe. We are pleased to support CIP and Perigus Energy as they continue to build out onshore wind, solar and storage capacity across multiple markets, contributing to Europe’s energy security and decarbonisation objectives.”
