Benjamin Hung

Appointed
Ben Hung is President, International, appointed in April 2024. He was appointed as a member of the Group Management Team in October 2015 and is based in Hong Kong.
Ben is the Chair of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited and Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited.
Career and experience
Ben joined Standard Chartered in 1992 and has held several senior management positions spanning corporate, commercial and retail banking. Prior to his current role, he was CEO, Asia, overseeing the Bank’s presence in 21 markets, preceded by CEO of Retail and Wealth Management globally.
Ben was the Co-Chair of the B20 South Africa Finance and Infrastructure Taskforce, having previously co-chaired the B20 Brazil Trade and Investment Taskforce.
Ben was previously the Chair of the Hong Kong Association of Banks, a board member of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited and of the HKSAR’s Airport Authority and Hospital Authority, and a Council Member of the University of Hong Kong.
