Sofia Hammoucha
Managing Director, Global Head of Trade & Working Capital
Sofia Hammoucha is the Global Head of Trade and Working Capital at Standard Chartered Bank, based in Singapore. She leads the bank’s global trade business, setting strategy and driving innovation and sustainable growth across trade and working capital solutions. In her role, she drives a strong client centric agenda across the business, ensuring solutions are aligned to clients’ evolving needs across markets.
Sofia has over 25 years of experience in Transaction Banking, having held a wide range of senior roles across Europe and Asia Pacific. Her background spans risk management, internal audit, business development and strategy, as well as leadership and change management, giving her deep expertise across the trade and transaction banking value chain in diverse and multicultural environments.
She has received multiple industry accolades, including being named Transaction Banker of the Year, in recognition of her leadership and client focused approach. Sofia is a frequent speaker at global trade and transaction banking forums and actively participates in panel discussions across sustainability, trade finance, and women’s leadership.
She holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Sorbonne University in Paris, France.
