Standard Chartered Appoints George Lee as Head of Cash and Transaction Banking, Americas

NEW YORK, July 7, 2020 – Standard Chartered has appointed George Lee as the Head of Cash and Transaction Banking, Americas. Based in New York, George will report to Philip Panaino, Global Head of Cash Management for his cash responsibilities. He will also report to James Lewis, Global Head of Liabilities and Liquidity Management, Transaction Banking with a regional matrix to Torry Berntsen, CEO and Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking for his Americas responsibilities. George will join the US Management Team and will be responsible for setting and delivering the Transaction Banking and Cash Management agendas for the Americas.

George joins Standard Chartered with over 30 years of banking experience with national and international lenders. He has held a variety of positions at Citibank, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan as well as consulting and software firms in both regional and global roles across sales, product, services and operations.

George Lee holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the New York State University at Stony Brook.
