Banesco Panama and Standard Chartered Close Landmark Merchant Voucher Securitization

Panama City, Panama, August 7, 2025 – Banesco Panama, in partnership with Standard Chartered, is pleased to announce the successful closing of a Merchant Voucher Receivables program, including an issuance in bank notes backed by future flows from international card companies. The transaction represents the first structure of its kind in Latin America for both institutions.

Structured and led by Standard Chartered, the deal underscores the strategic partnership between the two institutions and demonstrates their shared commitment to delivering innovative financial solutions across the region.

This inaugural transaction establishes a scalable framework for future deals and opens a new funding channel for Banesco Panama in the international capital markets. The deal has received an international rating from Fitch, serving as a strong testament to the credit quality and robust structure of the transaction.
