Standard Chartered strengthens M&A Advisory team with appointment of Jonathan Tretler

New hire comes as Corporate & Investment Bank grows its M&A Advisory business in the Americas

New York, Singapore, 25 February 2026 – Standard Chartered is pleased to announce that Jonathan Tretler has joined the M&A Advisory team as Head of M&A and Diversified Industries M&A, Americas.

A seasoned investment banker, Jonathan – who is based in New York – brings with him over 25 years of experience, with deep expertise in M&A and capital markets within the food and beverage, consumer products and retail industries.

Jonathan joins Standard Chartered from UK-based global consumer M&A advisory firm, Spayne Lindsay & Co, where he was Partner and key architect in building its US franchise. Prior to that, he has held leadership roles at several global banks, including HSBC, RBC Capital Markets and Deutsche Bank. He began his career with UBS Investment Bank in New York.
