You can perform your banking transactions at any authorised agent in Botswana which has Standard Chartered Agent Banking available at their premises.

Visit any of the Standard Chartered branches or call our 24hour Client Care Centre on 3615800 or visit www.sc.com/bw to be provided the details of the requirements to become an agent.

As a Standard Chartered Bank Botswana client, you can conduct the following;

  • cash deposit
  • cash withdrawal

You will only be allowed to perform cash withdrawal and cash deposit transactions in Botswana Pula.

To conduct a cash deposit transaction, you (client) will need the following:

  1. account number
  2. account name
  3. Valid Identity Document

To conduct a cash withdrawal, you (client) will need the following:

  1. Active Standard Chartered debit card and PIN

Cash deposit transactions are charged at BWP 0.45 per BWP 100.00. A cash withdrawal will be charged as per the below table:

Charges will be built into the transaction and will show in your bank statement. No fees should be paid to the agent for any transaction.

Yes, both cash deposit and cash withdrawal transactions are real time.

  • Once the transaction is completed, you (client) will receive an SMS instantly.
  • Email notification (if already registered) will be received at the end of the day.
  • Additionally, the agent will also provide a transaction receipt for every transaction
  • You (client) must always collect the receipt from the agent.

Yes, you can conduct the transaction on Sundays and public holidays at the agent premises as long as the agent opens on the aforementioned days.

In a case where the transaction is rejected or fails, the agent will provide you (client) a receipt indicating the same.

Any cash deposit or cash withdrawal transaction done via agent banking will show with a narration of AGBK cash deposit/ AGBK cash withdrawal narration along with the agent name.

If you suspect any unauthorised transactions on your account, please report this to our Client Care Centre. Provide details such as:

  1. Your full name
  2. Account number
  3. Transaction type (cash withdrawal or cash deposit)
  4. Date and time of transaction
  5. Amount involved

If there is a disputed transaction on your account, please report this to our Client Care Centre. Provide the following details:

  1. Your full name
  2. Account number
  3. Transaction type (cash withdrawal or cash deposit)
  4. Date and time of transaction
  5. Amount involved
  6. Receipt of the transaction

Note: Disputed scenarios can be as following:

  1. Cash deposit/ cash withdrawal at agent premises not reflecting in your account
  2. Cash deposit/ cash withdrawal at agent premises differs from what is credited/ debited in your account
