What is Standard Chartered Mobile Banking?

Mobile Banking gives you fast access to your bank account through your mobile phone. It uses advanced USSD technology, which means you don’t have to send an SMS or have to remember a long list of complicated codes.

With Mobile Banking, you can do your banking from anywhere you want, at any time of day through an interactive browsing experience on your phone. Our mobile banking solution works on all mobile phone handsets.


Mobile banking is also much safer than SMS-based banking services as it has an in-built USSD encryption and ‘no store just forward’ facility for performing secure transactions. This means that unlike an SMS-based service, there is no storage of data on your handset.

An eStatement is an electronic overview of your account activity over a period of time. All bank customers qualify for electronic statements, which are absolutely FREE. Customers will be charged for paper statements requested either via the branch, call centre or m-Banking.

Once you have registered for this service, your online statement will be sent to you via email, which means you will no longer receive statements through the post. We can send eStatements to two email addresses, so simply register where you want them to be sent to.
