Eligibility

  1. The Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad (“the Bank”) Purchase with Rewards (“Campaign”) commences on 19 October 2020 and ends on 31 December 2020, inclusive of both dates (“Campaign Period”).
  2. The Campaign is open to credit cardholders of selected credit cards issued by the Bank and who have maintained all their accounts with the Bank in good standing, without any breach of the terms and conditions or agreements.
  3. The Campaign is only open to Eligible Credit Cardholders with the following 360° Rewards Points (“Points”) credit cards issued by the Bank:
    •  Priority Banking Visa Infinite
    •  Visa Platinum
    •  Platinum Mastercard® Basic
  4. To be eligible to use Purchase with Rewards via SMS, Eligible Cardholders must:
    •  Have their latest mobile number registered with the Bank; and
    •  Successfully charge their retail transaction to an Eligible Credit Card.

 

Campaign Mechanics

  1. After making a retail transaction (“Eligible Transaction”), an SMS will be sent to the Eligible Credit Cardholder’s mobile number registered with the bank. The SMS is valid for one (1) day from the time of purchase.
  2. Eligible Credit Cardholder needs to reply to the specific SMS to redeem the specific Eligible Transaction with Points.
  3. The conversion rate of Purchase with Rewards is determined by the Bank.
  4. Upon successful redemption, a confirmation SMS will be sent to Eligible Credit Cardholder’s mobile phone number and the Points will be deducted from Eligible Credit Cardholder’s credit card account on the same day of the redemption. On the next business day of the redemption, the equivalent redeemed amount will be credited into Eligible Credit Cardholder’s credit card account and reflected in next billing cycle.
  5. If the available Points are not enough to redeem the Eligible Transaction in full, the bank will perform partial redemption, and the balance of the Eligible Transaction that is not redeemed will be automatically charged to the credit card and will earn Points for that portion only.
  6. Once the redemption is successful, the Purchase with Reward is final and cannot be changed, cancelled or refunded. The Points may not be returned to the Eligible Credit Cardholder except in the case of fraud or manifest error such as unauthorised transactions, fraudulent transactions or wrong entries.
