Minimum Monthly Repayment

5% of the outstanding balance or a minimum of RM50, whichever is higher

Late Payment Charges

Minimum RM10 or 1% of the total outstanding balance as of the statement date, whichever is higher.

Late payments charges are capped at a maximum of RM100 per account

Cash Advance Fee

A fee of RM12.40 will be imposed for each transaction (applicable to all Credit Cards except for Smart Credit Card).

Overseas Transaction Fees

Overseas transactions (including merchants with an overseas payment gateway) are subjected to fees, charges and commission as determined by Visa International / MasterCard Worldwide. Transactions in a currency other than Ringgit Malaysia shall also be converted at the exchange rate determined by Visa International / MasterCard Worldwide / the Bank on the date the transaction is processed.

In addition, the Bank will charge a 1% administration fee on the amount transacted in foreign currency with any MasterCard Credit Card and/or Visa Credit Card

The annual fee is RM250 for a principal card (first year annual fee is waived), and free for a supplementary card.

  1. Eligibility: You are eligible to apply for a Simply Cash credit card if you meet:
    • The minimum age requirement of 21 years for principal cardholder;
    • The minimum age requirement of 18 years for supplementary cardholder; and
    • The minimum income requirement of RM96,000 per annum.
  2. Retail purchase excludes the following transactions:
    • Cash advances, cash withdrawals, charges for cash advance or cash withdrawals, annual fees, interest, finance charges, late payments fees, disputed transactions or any other form of service or miscellaneous fees charged by us;
    • Balances products including but not limited to Balance Transfers, Balance Transfers Plus, Cheque On Call, Cheque On Call Plus, Flexi On Payment, Flexi On Payment Plus, Flexi On Balance, Flexi On Balance Plus, Easy Payment Scheme (EPS);
    • Government service tax and other taxes imposed by law;
    • Government related transactions which include but are not limited to payment of rates, charges, fines to Governmental, statutory and judicial bodies;
    • Charity and organizations related transactions which include but are not limited to payment and contributions to charitable, non-profitable, community or social service organizations;
    • Transactions under Merchant Category Code (MCC) 8999 “Professional Services” which include but are not limited to Jompay transactions, FPX transactions, DuitNow QR transactions and Paypal transactions;
    • Casino transactions (transactions with MCC 7995/ 4829/ 6051).
    • Special events categories which include but are not limited to catering, funeral and crematoria services, clothing rental, photographic or videographic studios, dance halls and florists;
    • Utilities related transactions which include but are not limited to telecommunications, cable television, electric, gas and water;
    • Professional and Commercial Services transactions under MCC 6010 – 6012, 6050, 6211, 6513, 6529 – 6535; or
    • Insurance transactions under MCC 5960 & 6300.
  3. The amount of retail purchases made by your supplementary cardholders will count towards meeting your minimum retail purchase requirement to be eligible to receive the cashback.
  4. 360⁰ Rewards Points and WorldMiles Points are not applicable for this product.
  5. The assignment of Eligible Transaction Type and Merchant Category Code (MCC) will determine the cardholder’s entitlement for the category of cashback. It is the responsibility of the Acquiring Bank to assign the correct eligible transaction type and Merchant Category Code. SCB shall not be held responsible for any incorrect assignment of the eligible transaction type and Merchant Category Code by the Acquiring Bank at the eligible merchant.
