How to Apply?

STEP DETAILS

1. Log in to your SC mobile.
2. Open a Privilege Savings Account (if you do not have a Conventional Current/Savings Account).
3. Transfer in fresh funds.
4. Select “New Fixed Deposit” (below Current/Savings account summary).
5. Place 12 months Fixed Deposit at Prevailing Board Rate.
6. Complete a one-time registration with your registered mobile number with the Bank at the end of this page. (under “Register for Fixed Deposit Promotion” section).

Malaysian/Permanent Residents

  • Identification Document:
    • NRIC
  • Age Requirement
    • Individuals who are 18 years old and above.
  • Minimum deposit

    • RM5,000 for tenures of 1 month
    • RM1,000 for tenures above 1 month

Foreigners

  • Passport with at least 6 months’ validity
  • Proof of employment/study (any one of the following documents)
    • Employment Pass/Work permit
    • Student Pass
  • Proof of residential address (any one of the following documents)
    • Latest utility/mobile/internet subscription bill
    • Driving License
    • Latest bank/credit card statement
    • Rental agreement showing your address
    • Letter from employer stating current address
    • Government-issued document stating current address

  1. Interest will be paid on maturity date for tenures of 1 to 12 months or on a half yearly basis for tenures of more than 12 months with the maturity instruction to auto renew principal only.
  2. No interest payable for any premature withdrawals/upliftment of Fixed Deposit.

‘Only deposits are protected by PIDM up to RM250,000 for each depositor.
