2. The income and growth are achieved through actively management and timely allocation into Singapore REITS (S-REITs), High Yield Bonds and some Asian Equities, after the pandemic led correction in Q2 2020. With close to USD18 trillion bonds trading in negative yields, the fund manager sees opportunities to extract yield from Asian High Yield Bonds that offers over 6% per annum. Meanwhile, S-REITs have outperformed its peers globally, particularly the REITs with exposure to logistic, industrial and data centre sector.
3. While equity markets have recovered substantially from the lows in 2020, the manager has advised investors to stay vigilant and expect volatility in 2021. Investor should remain invested and add positions during market corrections.
4. Growth is expected to be strong in 2021, underpinned by loose monetary policies and supportive fiscal stimulus. The fund manager sees growth opportunities in Asia and Technology sector and expect EM Asian equities to outperform.
