Secure your mobile device

With the increasing popularity of mobile payments and banking, it is important to apply the security measures to your mobile devices.

Useful tips
  • Do not store passwords or accounts numbers on your mobile device
  • Never use a jailbroken or rooted device for your mobile banking
  • Ensure that your mobile device is updated with the latest operating system version
  • Never respond to unsolicited communications – including emails, phone calls, and texts
  • Be careful when sharing personal information on your device in public places
  • Do not share your password with any third parties
  • Do not store anyone else’s biometric information in your device
What if I lose my mobile devices

Apple Pay

  • Go to icloud.com or use the “Find My iPhone” app to suspend or permanently remove your ATM card or credit card record from that device
  • Your ATM card or credit card will be suspended or removed from the device even if it is offline and not connected to a Wi-Fi or mobile network
  • You may also call Apple support hotline at (852) 2112-0099 and they will be able to remove your card(s) from a device
  • Always enable the “Require Attention for Facial Recognition” function in your mobile device and do not use Face ID if you have an identical twin sibling or siblings

Google Pay

  • Android Device Manager will help you find and erase your information in your device
  • Simply search “Find my phone” and Google will show you where it is on a map
  • Your card tied with your Google Pay will not be removed from the account, even if you uninstall the Google Pay application from your device

Samsung Pay

  • If your device is lost or stolen, your payment information will not be accessible without your iris, fingerprint, Samsung Pay PIN or other biometric information
  • For added security, the Samsung “Find My Mobile” service can remotely lock or erase your payment cards in Samsung Pay. Please visit Samsung Pay website for more details
What if I reformat my mobile devices

When performing a factory data reset / format or update, all payment information within your Mobile Wallet will be deleted.

You will need to set up and add your ATM card or credit card information into the Mobile Wallet again after your device has been reset.
