Standard Chartered Malaysia Appoints Aaron Loo as Head of Retail Clients Kuala Lumpur, 21 April 2015 – Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia ("the Bank") announces the appointment of Aaron Loo as the Head of Retail Clients for Malaysia. Aaron will report to Mahendra Gursahani, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Malaysia and Sebastian Arcuri, Regional Head, Retail Clients, ASEAN.

Aaron brings more than 15 years' experience in retail banking covering strategy, product management, operations, collections & recovery, IT and project management over a range of retail products and support functions. He was previously Head, Group Consumer Banking at Alliance Bank Malaysia. Prior to that, he spent close to 10 years at CIMB, where he was last Senior Managing Director and Head, Group Cards and Personal Financing Division.

Mahendra Gursahani, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, commented:

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computation and Master of Science in Advanced Computation, both from Imperial College London. He started his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Co before joining Southern Bank in 2000.

Standard Chartered is Malaysia's first and oldest bank, having opened its first branch on Beach Street, Penang in 1875. Since then, it has captured clients' imagination with innovative products such as the WorldMiles credit card and through its sponsorship of Liverpool Football Club and the KL Marathon.
