Effective 30 March 2012, Standard Chartered Bank is introducing the One Time PIN (OTP) for credit card online transaction via 3D secured merchant sites.

A One Time PIN (OTP) will be required for all 3D secured merchant sites for credit card online transaction. A One Time PIN (OTP) will be generated and sent via a Short Message System (SMS) to the Principal Cardholder’s mobile number for online transaction via 3D secured merchant sites. Supplementary Cardholder is required to obtain the One Time PIN (OTP) from their Principal Cardholder’s mobile number. You will be required to enter the OTP before any transaction on a 3D secured website can be completed.
