Offer: Complimentary one year protection against fraudulent transactions up to HKD10,000 on your Eligible Card² of Standard Chartered and Account

  • We will cover your financial losses due to fraudulent transactions caused by phishing or smishing.
  • We will reimburse you for unauthorized fraudulent transactions on your Bankcard3 and other admin costs associated with the fraudulent transactions.
  • We will provide protection for your other existing Standard Chartered credit cards, debit cards and Current Account/Savings Accounts.

Remarks:
  1. The promotion period of the complimentary Personal Cyber Insurance Plan (“the Plan”) is from 12 January 2026 until 30 June 2026 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).
  2. Eligible Card means Standard Chartered Smart Credit Card, Standard Chartered Simply Cash Visa Card, Standard Chartered A. Point Card, Standard Chartered Cathay MasterCard, Standard Chartered Cathay MasterCard – Priority Banking and Standard Chartered Cathay MasterCard – Priority Private issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (“SCBHK”) .  To be eligible for the Plan, customers must have successfully applied for and have their Eligible Card approved during Promotion Period. Eligible Card are automatically enrolled in the Plan, protecting you against phishing, smishing, and unauthorized transactions.
  3. Bankcard means debit and credit cards, both physical and virtual on Your mobile devices held by You and issued in Your name by the Policyholder within Hong Kong and connected to Your online payment accounts with the Policyholder. For the avoidance of doubt, any debit or credit cards or payment methods/ wallets issued by other Financial Institutions or companies are not covered by this Policy.
Important Notes:

Standard Chartered Credit Card Personal Cyber Insurance Plan is underwritten by Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE Hong Kong Branch (“Allianz”) which is a general insurer authorized and regulated by the Insurance Authority of the HKSAR. SCBHK is an insurance agent appointed by Allianz. To the extent permissible by law, SCBHK shall not be liable to any person for the use of any of the above information. The policy may contain terms and conditions which are not detailed in the above. Should there be any discrepancy between the information contained in the above and the terms of the policy, the terms of the policy shall prevail. For exact terms and conditions and details of the exclusions, please refer to the policy wording.

In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between SCBHK and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, SCBHK will enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however, any dispute over the contractual terms of the product should be resolved directly between Allianz and the customer.

  • In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions of any of the above details, the English version shall prevail.
