Terms and Conditions for Credit Card Offer : Groceries

  1. Definitions
    1. Bank:Standard Chartered Bank in India
    2. Offer:The offer means Qualified Customer will receive 5% cashback, upto a maximum of INR 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) on using the Banks credit card to purchase groceries through a minimum of 2 (two) transactions during the Offer Period. The transaction or the spends should only pertain to expenses for groceries at supermarket and departmental stores as identified by VISA and MasterCard only. Details of the Offer mentioned in clause 2.
    3. Offer Period:The Offer is valid only from 00:00:01 hours on 20 April 2022 and shall extend up to 23:59:59 hours on 20 May 2022.
    4. Qualified Customer:The Offer is open to select Standard Chartered credit card holders who meet the eligibility criteria.
    5. NRE and NRO card holders are not eligible for this Offer.

    1. Qualified Customers must transact at least 2 times in grocery category using Standard Chartered credit card during the Offer Period.
    2. Qualified Customer would be eligible for 5% cashback up to INR 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) cashback on fulfilment of the Offer.
    3. In the event a cardholder has multiple credit cards, cashback will be posted at a customer level. In other words, the cashback will not be allotted per credit card and will be allotted at a customer level only.
    4. This Offer cannot be clubbed with any other offer/promotion of the Standard Chartered Bank.
    5. This Offer is not applicable on Standard Chartered Landmark Rewards and Emirates credit cards.
      Transactions made using the credit card for cash withdrawals at ATM’s or any other category will not qualify to meet the spends criteria. Further, transaction which is either unsuccessful or cancelled/rejected by the Bank, transactions which are followed up with partial or full reversals or transactions that are cancelled by the card holder will not qualify to meet the spends criteria under the Offer.
    6. Qualified Customers will receive the cashback in the card within 90 days from the end of the Offer Period.
    7. The transaction categories for this Offer are Grocery & groceries at Supermarket and Departmental stores as identified by VISA and MasterCard.
    8. In event of a dispute to a MCC (Merchant category code), Bank will be guided by the classification defined by VISA & Mastercard for the eligible transactions.

    1. The Offer will be communicated to customers through – SMS and/or e-mailer on their registered email address or mobile number only.

    1. This is an exclusive Offer provided by Standard Chartered Bank. All details regarding the Offer are available on the bank’s website(www.sc.com/in).
    2. The Bank reserves the right to modify/change all or any of the terms applicable to this Offer. The Bank also reserves the right to modify, withdraw or discontinue the Offer without assigning any reasons whatsoever. Neither anything contained in the terms and conditions set out herein nor those forming part of the e-mailers or running this Offer shall be construed as an obligation on the part of the Bank to continue the Offer up to the date of termination/expiry of the Offer.
    3. Participation in this Offer is entirely voluntary and it is agreed and understood by the participants that participation shall be deemed to have been made on a voluntary basis.
    4. The Offer is not transferable, non-negotiable and cannot be en-cashed.
    5. The Offer shall not be available wherever it is prohibited under law and/or cannot be made/continued for any reason whatsoever.
    6. All disputes under this Offer are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts/tribunals of Mumbai.
    7. The Bank shall not be obliged to make any public announcements of the results of the Offer.
    8. In all matters relating to this Offer, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
    9. By participating in the Offer, the participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained herein and those forming part of the e-mailers.
    10. Any tax or other liabilities or charges payable to the government or any other statutory authority/body or any participating establishment, which may arise or accrue to the Qualified Customer, shall be solely borne by the Qualified Customer.
    11. Any query regarding the Offer will be entertained till 90 days from the Offer fulfilment date. Post such date, the Bank will not entertain any correspondence or communication regarding the Offer.
