Terms and Conditions for Bill Pay Standing Instruction – Reward point offer

Definitions

  1. Bank: Standard Chartered Bank in India.
  2. Offer: Get 500 reward points on each new bill registered for auto payment and bill payment for Eligible Biller Categories through Auto Bill Pay during Offer Period. Maximum limit per customer is 1000 reward points across all cards. Payment mode must be Banks credit cards and bills can be registered through Banks net banking, SC mobile app, inbound or outbound contact centre within 30 days of card set up.
  3. Offer Period: The Offer Period shall commence from 00:01 hours on 15thMay 2023 and shall extend up to 23:59 hours on 31th July 2023.
  4. Eligible Biller Categories: Electricity, insurance, mobile postpaid, rental payment, gas, broadband postpaid, landline postpaid, water and DTH. Payment made for any other biller category apart from electricity, insurance, mobile postpaid, rental payment, gas, broadband postpaid, landline postpaid, water, DTH and using any other channel/payment mode apart from standing instruction/ Auto Bill Pay on credit cards will not be eligible for this Offer.
  5. Qualified Customer: The Offer is applicable to select Standard Chartered Credit Card clients who have received the Offer communication from the Bank through email or SMS.

Offer Details

  1. A Qualified Customer shall get upto 1000 reward points on bill paid for Eligible Biller Categories through Auto Bill Pay registered during Offer Period on Banks credit cards through Banks net banking, SC mobile app, inbound contact centre or outbound contact centre.
  2. Offer applicable for bills paid using SCB credit cards using “Auto Pay” or “Standing Instruction” option registered during Offer Period.
  3. Offer applicable on new registration on the Banks bill payments platform. Existing/old bill registered on the Banks online and mobile banking platform are not eligible for this Offer. Deleting old biller and adding the same biller again will not qualify for the Offer.
  4. Maximum reward points will be 1000 points per customer which will be credited after 1st standing instruction/ Auto payment is executed for the bills registered during the Offer Period. Customer is eligible for the Offer only if the 1st bill is paid by 31st August 2023.
  5. Only bill payment for Eligible Biller Categories qualify for the Offer.
  6. Reward points will be recited in the Qualified Customers credit card account within 90 days after 31st August 2023.
  7. If payment fails, customer deregister the biller or stops the scheduled payments before the reward points are credited the customer is not eligible for Reward points.
  8. Offer not applicable on Ultimate, Digismart and Smart credit card.

How to avail the offer

  1. Go to the Banks website (www.sc.com/in) and click on login or download SC Mobile from Playstore or Appstore.
  2. Login or sign up to online banking or mobile banking.
  3. Select Bill Payments under Payments.
  4. Click on “ Add Biller” on Bill Payments page powered by BillDesk.
  5. Setup Auto Pay Instruction by submitting bill details and payment instructions.
  6. The bills will be paid from your credit card automatically from the next billing cycle.

Communication of the Offer

  1. The Offer will be communicated to existing customers through one or more of these modes – Email (on registered email id) or SMS (on registered mobile number).

General Terms and Conditions

  1. This is an exclusive Offer provided by Standard Chartered Bank. All details regarding the Offer are available on the Bank’s website (sc.com/in).
  2. The Bank reserves the right to modify/change all or any of the terms applicable to this Offer. The Bank also reserves the right to modify, withdraw or discontinue the Offer without assigning any reasons whatsoever. Neither anything contained in these terms and conditions, nor shall running this Offer be construed as an obligation on the Bank to continue the Offer up to the termination/expiry date.
  3. Participation in this Offer is entirely voluntary and it is agreed and understood by the Participants that participation shall be deemed to have been made on a voluntary basis. The Offer is non-transferable.
  4. The Offer shall not be available wherever it is prohibited under law and/or cannot be made for any reason whatsoever.
  5. All disputes under this Offer are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts/tribunals of Mumbai.
  6. The Bank shall not be obliged to make any public announcements of the results of the Offer. The Qualified Customers shall be intimated by the Bank through Email or SMS only.
  7. In all matters relating to this Offer, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding. By participating in the Offer, the participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained herein.
  8. Any tax or other liabilities or charges payable to the government or any other statutory authority/body or any participating establishment, which may arise or accrue to the client due to provision of the offer, shall be to the sole account of the client.
  9. If the Qualified Customer deactivates the Banks credit card within 60 days after the beginning of Offer Period, the customer will be disqualified for reward point offer.
