Terms and Conditions for Credit Card Offer: Reward Points

  1. Definitions
    1. Bank: Standard Chartered Bank India
    2. Offer: The Offer means “Qualified Customer gets additional 7.5 reward points* for every INR 150 (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty only) spent on using their Standard Chartered Credit Card to make purchases of a minimum amount mentioned in the Offer communication during the Offer Period, upto a maximum of 7500 reward points during the offer period”.
    3. Offer Period:The Offer Period shall commence from 00:01 hours on 10 August 2022 and shall extend up to 23:59 hours on 16 August 2022.
    4. Qualified Client: The Offer is only applicable to a select set of resident Standard Chartered credit card holders. Bank’s credit card customers who have received the Offer communication from the Bank and who have successfully qualified for the reward points by carrying out transactions will qualify for the Offer. Banks credit card customers having a NRE and/or NRO accounts with the Bank will not be eligible for the Offer.
  1. Offer Details
    1. Qualified Customers must transact using the Banks credit card during the Offer Period for a minimum amount mentioned in the Offer communication..
    2. Qualified Customer will be eligible for additional 7.5 reward points* for every INR 150/- (One Hundred and Fifty only) spent on credit card on meeting the spends criteria mentioned in the Offer communication during the Offer Period.
    3. Customer will be entitled for incremental reward points if they use their Standard Chartered credit card for purchase spends.
    4. Maximum of 7500 reward points can be allotted during the Offer Period.
    5. *The additional 7.5 reward points will be calculated on the existing card features – For the purpose of illustration, if customer uses a Bank credit card which gives 1 reward point per INR 150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty only) spent. Then customer will receive 8.5 reward points per INR 150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty only) spent during the Offer Period.
    6. In the event a cardholder has multiple credit cards, reward points will be posted at a customer level. In other words, the reward points will not be allotted per credit card and will be allotted at a customer level only. It is clarified that irrespective of the spends amount across all credit cards, a customer will only receive a maximum of 7500 reward points across all credit cards.
    7. This Offer cannot be clubbed with any other offer/promotion of the Standard Chartered Bank. Customer will be eligible for only one offer per card during the offer period.
    8. This Offer is not applicable on Standard Chartered Landmark Rewards, Ultimate, Emirates & DigiSmart Credit Cards
    9. Transactions made using the credit card to purchase insurance policies, fuel and/or jewellery and cash withdrawals at ATM’s will not qualify to meet the spends criteria.
    10. Qualified customers will receive the reward points within 90 days from the end of the Offer Period.
    11. In case the Cardholder cancels any transactions due to which he/she has qualified for the reward points, then those transactions will not be considered in the calculation of the additional reward points.

    1. The Offer will be communicated to cardholders via SMS and/or e-mailers on their registered mobile numbers and e-mail addresses only

    1. This is an exclusive offer provided by Standard Chartered Bank. All the details regarding the Offer are available on the Bank’s website (www.sc.com/in).
    2. The Bank reserves the right to modify / change all or any of the terms applicable to this Offer. The Bank also reserves the right to modify, withdraw or discontinue the Offer without assigning any reasons whatsoever. Neither anything contained in these terms and conditions, nor shall running this Offer be construed as an obligation on the Bank to continue the Offer up to the termination/expiry date.
    3. Participation in this Offer is entirely voluntary, and it is agreed and understood by the participants that participation shall be deemed to have been made on a voluntary basis.
    4. The Offer is non-transferable.
    5. The Offer shall not be available wherever it is prohibited under law and / or cannot be made for any reason whatsoever.
    6. All disputes under this Offer are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts / tribunals of Mumbai.
    7. The Bank shall not be obliged to make any public announcements of the results of the Offer. The Qualified Customers shall be intimated by the Bank through email only.
    8. In all matters relating to this Offer, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
    9. By participating in the Offer, the participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained herein.
    10. The Offer is not transferable, non-negotiable and cannot be en-cashed.
    11. Standard Chartered Bank will not be responsible or liable in case the Offer is not configured or could not be availed due to malfunction, delay, traffic congestion on any telephone network or line, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or website.
    12. Any tax or other liabilities or charges payable to the government or any other statutory authority/body or any participating establishment, which may arise or accrue to the card holder due to provision of the Offer, shall be to the sole account of the card holder.
