Staff Home Loan Offer: Terms and Conditions

  1. Definitions
    1. Bank: Standard Chartered Bank in India.
    2. Home Loan Rate: means the preferential commercial rate of interest communicated by the Bank to the Staff in its Offer communications.
    3. Offer: The offer means, home loans at Home Loan Rate sanctioned to Staff of the Bank during the Offer Period.
    4. Offer Period: The offer is valid till 31st May 2023
    5. Staff: Staff means and includes the permanent employees of the Standard Chartered Bank and Standard Chartered Subsidiaries.
  1. Offer Details
    1. The Offer is available only on application for home loan and home loan top-up made by the Staff during the Offer Period and sanctioned by the Bank within the Offer Period.
    2. Top-up home loans will be offered at a Home Loan Rate only where the top up amount is less than home loan outstanding amount. Top up home loan amounts more than home loan outstanding will be charged at a different rate of interest that is applicable to loan on property as per pricing grid.
    3. This Offer is available for Staff applications for home loans made directly to the Bank. Any application for a Staff home loan received through referral agents or direct selling agents shall be processed at standard rates for salaried customers, and not at Home Loan Rate
    4. The Offer is applicable only for home loans secured against residential properties in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Baroda, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi and NCR, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Rajkot, Surat, Trivandrum
    5. The repayments of the home loan must be made only from the Standard Chartered Bank salary account of the Staff.
    6. The prevailing terms and conditions shall govern the home loan and the sanction of the home loan shall be at the sole discretion of the Bank.
    7. Statutory charges including without limitation, stamp duty, registration charges, memorandum of deposit charges, franking charges, advocate fees, if applicable are to be borne by the Staff.
  1. Communication of the Offer
    1. The Offer may be communicated to the Staff through – SMS and/or Email on the registered mobile number and email address, at the discretion of the Bank.
    2. A Staff receiving the Offer communication through SMS/Email, must register by:
      • Click on the URL/LINK in SMS from their registered mobile number; or
      • Click on the URL/link given in the emailer sent by the Bank.
  1. General Terms and Conditions
    1. This is an exclusive Offer for the Bank Staff. The Staff has to be one of the co-borrowers in the home loan application.
    2. The Bank reserves the right to modify/change all or any of the terms applicable to this Offer. The Bank also reserves the right to modify, withdraw or discontinue the Offer without assigning any reasons whatsoever. Neither anything contained in these terms and conditions, nor shall running this Offer be construed as an obligation on the Bank to continue the Offer during the Offer Period.
    3. The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with the Offer, including eligibility. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to this Offer shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
    4. Participation in this Offer is entirely voluntary and it is agreed and understood by the Staff that participation shall be deemed to have been made on a voluntary basis.
    5. The Offer is non-transferable and cannot be replaced for cash.
    6. All disputes under this offer are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts/tribunals of Mumbai.
    7. In the event of any inconsistency between these Offer T&Cs and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Offer, these Offer T&Cs shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
