Important Information

Update your TNB bill account number

Kindly use new TNB bill account number (12 digits) for any bill payments/JomPAY to TNB. The old TNB bill account number (14 digits) will no longer be valid after 19 October 2016. Please delete your current “Schedule TNB transaction and TNB Payee” and thereafter re-create your “Schedule TNB transaction and TNB Payee” using your new TNB bill account number to avoid any payment interruption.

Steps to delete scheduled payee in Online Banking

  • Log in to Online Banking
  • Click Payments / Transfers History
  • Click Delete at TNB scheduled transaction
  • Confirm delete scheduled payment
  • Click 3rd Party Funds Transfer /Bill Payment or JomPAY
  • Find TNB with old bill account number and click remove.

Steps to add new bill payee (Online Banking – Bills Payment)

  • Click Payments and Transfers
  • Click 3rd Party Funds Transfer / Bills Payment
  • Click Add a new bill payment payee
  • Select TNB payee
  • Key in new 12 digit TNB Account number
  • Confirm the payment
  • If scheduled transfer / payment, tick recurring and set your preferred scheduled details

Steps to add new bill payee (Online Banking – JomPAY Bills Payment)

  • Log in to Online Banking
  • Click Payments and Transfers
  • Click JomPAY bills payment
  • You may add favourite JomPAY payee or choose for open JomPAY payment
  • Key in TNB Biller Code, Ref 1 and Ref 2 using new 12 digit TNB bill account number
  • Confirm the payment

FAQs

  • TNB has been accepting payments using the new 12 digits TNB bill account number since 20 July 2016. Please note after 19 October 2016, any payments made using the old TNB bill account number will no longer be accepted and processed. Please delete your current “Schedule TNB transaction and TNB Payee” and thereafter re-create your “Schedule TNB transaction and TNB Payee” using your new TNB bill account number to avoid any payment interruption.

  • No sir/madam. To use new TNB bill account number, you will need to delete and re-create your schedule transaction and TNB payee through Online Banking.

  • These new 12 digits TNB bill account number will impact the following Online Banking Transaction Types.

    • Add New Bill Payee – Customer to use new TNB bill account number to add new TNB payee
    • New Schedule Payment – Customer to use new TNB bill account number to make schedule payment.
    • Existing TNB Payee List – Transactions by existing TNB payee using old TNB bill account number will not be processed after 19 October 2016.
    • Existing Schedule Payment – Customer to make new schedule payment using new TNB bill account number as the old TNB bill account number will no longer be valid after 19 October 2016.
  • TNB will still accept your payment. However, your TNB existing payee with old TNB bill account number will be rejected after 19 October 2016.

  • Yes. Your Scheduled Transactions using old TNB bill account number is no longer valid after 19 October 2016. Please setup your new Scheduled Transaction by adding new online bill payment and set your preferred schedule transaction.
