SC REFERRAL/MEMBER GET MEMBER CAMPAIGN FAQ

  1. What is the Member Get Member campaign?
  • Member Get Member (MGM) is a client referral program where existing Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited (the bank) clients (referrer) can refer their family, friends, colleagues, etc to open Priority account/s with the bank and deposit or invest in a Wealth Management product up to the minimum Asset Under Management (AUM) for the segment. Upon successful account opening and requisite funding for the referee’s account and/or investment, the referrer would be eligible for a reward (subject to applicable Terms and Conditions).
  1. Who can participate in the Client Referral program?
  • All active retail clients (Individual & SME Banking) of the bank are eligible to participate.
  1. How do I refer a new Priority client ?
  • You can refer a new Priority client by sending an email to NGReferrals@sc.com or by sending the details to your Relationship Manager.
  1. Is this campaign open to SC Staff?
  • Yes, SC staff are open to participate in this campaign. (All WRB sales staff, Frontlines, Affluent segment and Branch Staff are exempted from this campaign except the SME Banking Sales Staff).
  1. Can a New to Bank (NTB) client refer himself?
  • No, they cannot. However, NTB clients can refer family and friends once their own accounts become active.
  1. How will the Existing to Bank (ETB) client (referrer) know that he has qualified for the reward and receive it?
  • Each quarter, all successful referrers will be contacted, and the rewards issued to them in line with applicable Terms and Conditions.
  1. What is considered as a successful referral ?
  • The conditions upon which a referral is considered successful is as follows.
  • The referral is made during the period when the referral program is valid – (August to December 2025.
  • The Referred Individual successfully commences a new relationship with the Bank as an active account holder and maintains a minimum Assets Under Management (AUM) balance of N50,000,000 within 3 months of account opening. AUM refers to Deposits + Wealth Management holdings (Deposits, Mutual Funds, Signature CIO Funds, Treasury Bills/Bonds)
  • Referrals must be only to Priority Banking segment. Referrals that do not fall within qualified priority accounts will not be considered.
  • Referrals on dormant & unclaimed relationship with funding up to the minimum AUM criteria of N50m or its equivalent in FCY will qualify for the campaign reward.
  1. When should I expect to be rewarded?
  • Below are rewards available to be given for successful referrals.

  1. What reward do I get on successful referrals?
  • Below is what you get when you successfully refer a client in the below category.

2 Open a qualified Priority account and invest in WM – Mutual Funds, Fixed Income. N500k reward voucher + 0.5% of the invested amount which will be rewarded with a shopping voucher

Notes

  • Only referrals to open a qualified Priority account will be considered.
  • For CASA funding, the reward on qualified Priority account is N500k reward voucher.
  • Additional reward of 0.5% applies on the investment amount.
  • Campaign period will be from August 1st to Dec 31st, 2025.
  • Every quarter, list of clients with successful referrals will be rewarded with a shopping voucher.
  1. How do I receive the MGM reward?
  • The reward voucher will be sent either to your branch or through your Relationship Manager.
  1. What is the duration of this campaign?
  • The MGM campaign will commence on August 1st 2025 to Dec 31st, 2025.

  1. How will the Bank know I have referred a new client?

The following channels can be adopted:

  • Send the contact details of your referrals to your Relationship Manager.
  • Send the contact details of your referrals to NGReferrals@sc.com.
