    You can apply for this loan if Standard Chartered has signed a scheme agreement with your organisation. Monthly loan repayment deduction will be made from your employer directly. You may contact us on 0302 633 552-4 to confirm if your organisation is on the list.

  2. Smart Credit

    We are in the business of helping you improve the quality of your life. You no longer have to wait what sometimes feels like a lifetime to live the life you want. Our Smart Credit personal loan is just what you need to put your personal aspirations in your hand.

    If your salary is paid through a Standard Chartered Bank account you could be eligible to take this loan. Monthly repayment deductions will be made from your salary account with us. Scheme agreement with your organisation not required.

    • How much can I borrow?

      You can borrow up to GHS 69,000 if you are a Personal Banking customer, and or as much as GHS 180,000 if you are a Priority Customer.

    • Who is eligible for a loan?

      Anyone who works for a company with which Standard Chartered Bank has signed a Scheme Agreement to Salaried employees within our list of over 500 organisations.

    • How much do I need to earn to qualify for a loan?

      You need to earn a minimum net salary of GHS700 in order to qualify for a loan.

    • What documentation is required to take out a personal loan?

      We require the following documentation in order to take out a personal loan:

      • Completed application form
      • IID – Important Information Document
      • Passport / Drivers Licence / National Identification Card / Voters ID
      • Most recent salary slip
      • Bank statements for the last 3 months
    • I have a loan from another bank. Can I transfer it to Standard Chartered?

      Yes. In order to do this, you will go through the normal application process. In addition, we require a loan statement from the bank that holds your existing loan. Standard Chartered Bank will pay the outstanding amount directly to from the proceeds of your loan.
