Employee volunteering
When you work with us, we give you three days of paid volunteering each year. We’re committed to this because we know volunteering not only benefits the communities where we operate but is also rewarding for our colleagues. You can use volunteering days to support the Standard Chartered Foundation or other charitable causes of your choice.

How we contribute
In 2025, more than half of our colleagues volunteered in communities where we live and work. We believe one of the most powerful ways to give back is by sharing what we know. Through skills-based volunteering, our colleagues share their professional expertise in a range of ways.
In 2025 alone, our colleagues contributed more than 116,000 hours of skills-based volunteering – from providing financial education in local schools to coaching and mentoring Standard Chartered Foundation programme participants.

20 years of giving
This year marks 20 years of employee volunteering at Standard Chartered. As we enter our third decade, we will place even greater emphasis on skills-based volunteering – making it central to how we support our communities and develop our people.
