Francois Verlaine
Regional Head of ASEAN & South Asia, Financing & Securities Services, Financial Markets
Francois Verlaine is a Managing Director and Head of ASEAN & South Asia for the Financing & Securities Services business within Financial Markets at Standard Chartered Bank since October 2020.
Based in Singapore, Francois joined the Bank in April 2013. He was previously responsible for leading the strategic agenda for securities services and new business development. Responsibilities included driving the strategic agenda for the business, seeking and prioritizing investment funding for the business, pricing, client implementation and delivering on the corporate development agenda.
Francois has 20 years’ experience in financial services. He started his career in strategy consulting focusing on business strategy for investment, corporate and private banks. In 2005 he joined JPMorgan where he held various roles in product and sales as well as leading a team responsible for evaluating new deal opportunities including acquisitions and middle office outsouring deals across the JPMorgan Investor Services franchise.
Francois has a BSc from London School of Economics and an MSc from Imperial College.
