George Lee

George is the Regional Head of Transaction Banking for the Americas, representing businesses in all western hemisphere jurisdictions. This includes responsibilities for the bank’s end-to-end cash and treasury management, working capital, and trade finance/supply chain propositions.

He is also responsible for the Transaction Banking Regional Cash Management product group for the Americas. The business spans multiple segments, including the bank’s largest multi-national Corporate, Financial and Non-bank Financial Institutional clients. George reports to the CEO of the Americas, with joint accountability to the Transaction Bank’s Global Head of Cash Management.

George represents Standard Chartered on the BAFT Board and the New York Based British / American Business Chamber of Commerce. He is the executive sponsor of the SCB Americas LGBT&Allies Network.

Throughout Georges’ 30+ year career, he has held leadership roles across the Transaction Banking Industry at JPMorgan Chase & Co, Citi, Deutsche Bank, and CGI consulting. He held leadership roles, including Operations, Technology, Implementation, Service, Sales, and Product Management.
