Jason Forrester is Group Chief Risk Officer at Standard Chartered.
Appointed
Jason Forrester was appointed to Group Chief Risk Officer on 1 January 2026. He also has overall Group Management Team responsibility for Compliance, Financial Crime & Conduct Risk.
He leads a team of around 5,000 employees, overseeing Group risk and compliance processes and promoting a strong risk culture and conduct discipline.
Jason joined the Bank in September 2020 as Chief Risk Officer, Regions and was appointed Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management and Deputy CRO SC Bank in January 2021. Additionally, he was appointed Co-Head, Chief Risk Officer, Corporate & Investment Banking in July 2024 and to SCB AG’s Supervisory Board in January 2025.
Career
Jason has extensive expertise in risk management, having previously worked at Credit Suisse for 21 years in various senior risk and finance management roles across America, Europe, and Asia. He also held various audit roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 10 years.
His experience spans both financial and non-financial risk, coupled with deep client expertise, making him a highly regarded leader in the risk management field.
