Jason Forrester is Group Chief Risk Officer at Standard Chartered.

Appointed

Jason Forrester is the Group Chief Risk Officer, appointed in January 2026. He was appointed as a member of the Group Management Team that same month and is based in the UK.

Jason has overall Group Management Team responsibility for Compliance, Financial Crime and Conduct Risk.

Career and experience

Jason joined the Bank in September 2020 as Chief Risk Officer, Regions and was appointed Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management and Deputy Chief Risk Officer Standard Chartered Bank in January 2021.

Additionally, he was appointed Co-Head, Chief Risk Officer, Corporate & Investment Banking in July 2024 and to Standard Chartered Bank AG’s Supervisory Board in January 2025.

Jason’s career in financial services spans over three decades with extensive expertise in risk management. Prior to his role at the Bank, Jason spent 21 years at Credit Suisse, where he held a variety of senior positions including Global Head of Enterprise and Operational Risk Management, Chief Financial Officer Credit Suisse Europe and Chief Operating Officer for the Risk Division.

Earlier in his career, Jason spent a decade at PricewaterhouseCoopers undertaking key roles as Senior Management and Manager in the Financial Services Audit and Advisory Groups across London, Moscow and Birmingham.

His experience spans both financial and non-financial risk, coupled with deep client expertise, making him a highly regarded leader in the risk management field.
