Mark Willis
Global Head of Open Banking Ecosystem, CIB
Mark is the Global Head of Standard Chartered’s Open Banking Ecosystem within the Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Bank.
He leads a global team who delivers the open banking capabilities and surrounding ecosystem to enable new business models like embedded banking and embedded finance. The platform offers real time payments, FX, notifications, account services & digital assets to name a few.
Prior to joining Standard Chartered in 2019, Mark served as an Associate Partner at IBM Consulting where he spearheaded large digital programmes. With over two decades experience in leadership positions, he has a proven track record of building and scaling digital platforms in financial services.
Mark’s career spans across North America, Africa and Asia, where he held senior roles with Accenture and Standard Bank, covering capital markets, transaction banking, retail/digital banking and wealth.
Mark holds a Master’s degree in IT Management from Southern Cross University; he has a Fintech: Future Commerce qualification from MIT and graduated from the ‘AI for Leaders Programme’ at INSEAD Executive Education Asia.
