Mazen Barbir

Mazen is the head of Markets and FX Trading, for MENA & Pakistan ad Standard Chartered. Based out of Dubai, he has responsibility for market making, managing and executing FX spot, forwards, and swaps.

Mazen joined Standard Chartered in Oct 2007 and has been covering the MENA markets since. Prior, he worked in SME financing in Canada, where he completed his MBA from the University of Ottawa. He is currently a Doctoral student at Durham University researching regulatory focus, opportunity recognition, and trading performance.
