Molly Duffy

Molly Duffy is Head of Financial Markets for Europe and Americas, based in New York. She leads the strategy and governance of the Europe and Americas regions across Foreign Exchange, Rates, Credit, Commodities, Debt Capital Markets, Loan Syndication, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Project & Export Finance, Financing Solutions, and Securities Services businesses. In addition, she is responsible for delivering coordinated solutions and senior relationship management to the Bank’s most complex and significant financial institutional clients across Europe and the Americas.

Molly is a member of the Global Financial Markets Management Team, UK/Europe Regional Management Team, and US Management Team. She is also CEO of the US Broker Dealer, Standard Chartered Securities North America LLC.

Career

Molly joined Standard Chartered in July 2017 as Managing Director, Co-Head of Financial Markets and Head of Financial Markets Sales in the Americas. She took on the additional role of Head, Global Investor Sales in 2019 before moving on in September 2020 to assume her current responsibilities.

With more than thirty years’ experience in the finance and banking industry, Molly’s knowledge spans across a range of financial products and services including global markets, economics and derivatives products, as well as sector expertise in FICC with extensive experience across traditional and electronic businesses. Molly built her career at Credit Suisse, where she worked for more than 25 years across Global Macro Products, Global Currencies and Emerging Markets, Foreign Exchange Sales, and Global E-distribution. In her last role she was responsible for delivering strategic growth and coordinated solutions.

As a female leader in the finance industry, Molly is committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and is an advocate for empowering women in finance, having mentored many young women throughout their careers.

External appointments

Molly is currently a Non-Executive Director at the World Gold Council, the largest Gold ETF with more than USD65 billion AUM, and a Management Board Member of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (“AFME”). In addition, Molly is a member of the Supervisory Board of Standard Chartered Bank AG.
