Ole Matthiessen
Global Head, Transaction Services & Digital Assets, Corporate & Investment Banking
Ole Matthiessen joined Standard Chartered in August 2026 as Global Head of Transaction
Services & Digital Assets within Corporate & Investment Banking. Based in Singapore, he
leads the bank’s integrated Transaction Services business, overseeing payments, liquidity,
financing, securities services and will steer the group’s digital assets agenda to deliver
innovative solutions for its client segments.
With more than 20 years of international banking experience, Ole held senior leadership roles
across Europe and Asia, leading large-scale business transformation and innovation
initiatives. Before joining Standard Chartered, Ole spent nearly 18 years at Deutsche Bank,
where he most recently served as Co-Head of the Corporate Bank division and a member of
the Group Management Committee. Previously, he was the Head of Corporate Bank Asia
Pacific & Middle East and Global Head of Cash Management, where he led the continued
growth and strategic evolution of the bank’s global transaction banking franchise.
Earlier in his career, Ole held leadership roles across Fixed Income & Currencies, across
trading, structuring and sales, building deep expertise across different capital markets,
derivatives, structured finance for a broad range of corporate and institutional client segments.
Ole holds a Master of Science in Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance &
Management and a Bachelor’s degree from AKAD Privathochschulen. From 2021 to 2026, he
served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of SWIFT, reflecting his commitment to
shaping the future of global financial infrastructure.
Recognised for building high-performing international teams, Ole is passionate about shaping
the future of transaction banking through client-centric innovation, digitalisation and the
convergence of traditional finance and digital assets.
He is married and father of four sons.
