Pete Burrill

Pete Burrill was Interim Group Chief Financial Officer, and a member of the Group Management Team, appointed in February 2026. Pete is based in the UK.

Career and experience

Pete joined Standard Chartered in 2017 and was Deputy Chief Financial Officer from January 2021 until February 2026. Pete is Group Head, Central Finance, a role which he has held since January 2021. Additionally, in March 2025, he was appointed Chair of the Standard Chartered Bank AG Supervisory Board, having joined the Supervisory Board in 2019.

Prior to joining the Bank, Pete was Group Controller and Co-Head of Group Finance at Deutsche Bank. Earlier in his career, Pete spent almost 20 years at KPMG, including 10 years in the United States followed by 10 years in Germany.
