Pete Burrill

Pete Burrill is Interim Group Chief Financial Officer, and a member of the Group Management Team, appointed in February 2026. Pete is based in the UK.
Career and experience
Pete joined Standard Chartered in 2017 and until February 2026 was Group Head, Central Finance and Deputy Chief Financial Officer. He is also Chair of the Standard Chartered Bank AG Supervisory Board, a position he has held since March 2025, having joined the Supervisory Board in 2019.
Prior to joining the Bank, Pete was Group Controller and Co-Head of Group Finance at Deutsche Bank. Earlier in his career, Pete spent almost 20 years at KPMG, including 10 years in the United States followed by 10 years in Germany.
