Pierre Paoli

Pierre Paoli is the Global Head of Strategic Advisory & Solutions, Corporate & Investment Banking, at Standard Chartered. In this role, he is responsible for leading the Bank’s global Strategic Advisory & Solutions agenda, spanning Capital Structure & Rating Advisory, ESG Advisory, Transition Finance and Sustainable Finance, Renminbi Internationalisation advisory, and Islamic Finance. He works closely with corporate and institutional clients to deliver integrated, strategic advice across markets.

Based in Singapore, Pierre is a member of the Corporate & Investment Banking Client Coverage Executive Committee.

Career

Pierre joined Standard Chartered in 2019 as Head of Strategy for Corporate & Investment Banking. He headed Client Coverage’s global Business Development team, focusing on client strategy and execution, improving sales effectiveness and collaboration across the business.

Before joining Standard Chartered, Pierre was a Partner and Managing Director at Boston Consulting Group in London, where he led the firm’s Corporate & Investment Banking practice for Western Europe. In this capacity, he advised leading financial institutions on strategy, performance improvement, and large-scale transformation programmes.

Pierre holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from École des Ponts ParisTech and a Master of Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He is a Certified Capital Markets and Securities Analyst (CMSA) from the Corporate Finance Institute and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) with the Association for Financial Professionals.
