Steve Englander is the Head of G10 FX Research and North America Macro Strategy at Standard Chartered.

Based in New York, Steve covers G10 FX and its interaction with other asset markets, providing internal and external clients with strategic insight on US and Canadian asset classes. He is widely recognised for his analysis of inflation and productivity growth, the US dollar’s role in international finance and reserve manager behaviour.

Career

Steve joined Standard Chartered in June 2018 from Rafiki Capital Management. He previously served as Head of G10 FX Strategy at Citibank and has also held roles of increasing seniority at Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, the OECD, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Steve holds a PhD in Economics from Yale University and is frequently called on to provide his perspective on CNBC, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and other leading global financial media outlets.
