Standard Chartered PLC announces update to Group Management Team
Hong Kong – Standard Chartered PLC (“the Group”) today announces an update to its Group Management Team (MT).
Mary Huen, Cluster Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, and CEO of Standard Chartered Hong Kong will join the Group MT, effective immediately. She will continue to report to Ben Hung, CEO Asia.

This change underscores the significance of the Asia region, and that of the Bank’s Hong Kong franchise to the Group as the largest market, representing 30% of its profit. Hong Kong is a key part of the Bank’s Greater China growth strategy, including the very exciting Greater Bay Area. Hong Kong has also been central to the Bank’s progress on customer service through digitisation, most notably the establishment of Mox as the leading digital bank in Asia.

Mary has over 30 years of experience in business management and banking services. Since joining Standard Chartered in 1991, she has held leadership positions across wealth management, sales and product management.
Prior to her current role, Mary was Regional Head of Retail Banking, Greater China & North Asia, and the Head of Retail Banking, Hong Kong.
