- Hong Kong companies continue to be active in the use of offshore RMB and are aware of the benefits. At this stage, they see limited future expansion due to concerns over currency appreciation, red tape and a lack of liquidity.
- Many mainland China companies are already active in the use of offshore RMB, with ambitious plans to expand usage to offshore loans and deposits.
- While many companies believe the RMB will become more important as a global currency, few are current strong advocates of RMB.
