We’ve appointed David Rego as Global Head of Payments

Singapore – Standard Chartered has appointed David Rego as Global Head of Payments, Transaction Banking, with immediate effect. He will continue in his current role as Global Head of Liquidity, Deposits and Escrow Solutions, with his successor to be announced in due course.

In this role, David will drive the transformation of the Bank’s payments business and lead the team in the creation of market-leading solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients. He continues to be based in Singapore and reports to Philip Panaino, Global Head of Cash, Transaction Banking.

David brings over 25 years of cash and liquidity management experience across product, technology, and operations, along with a deep understanding of client needs into this leadership role. He joined the Bank in 2007 and in his current role, was responsible for expanding the liquidity management solution proposition, growing the escrow business, and building our third-party money solutions. Prior to this, he was the Global Head of Cash Product Development and Regional Cash Product Head for Africa.

David’s deep cash management expertise and strong client focus will raise the bar on our ability to dynamically respond to our clients’ evolving needs and continue to offer them innovative payments solutions.”
