How to activate Push Notification on your SC Mobile app?

Step 1

On the Home Screen, click on the bell icon to visit the “Notifications Hub”.

Step 2

Click on the “Turn on” button at the bottom.

Step 3

Read and Agree to the terms and conditions.

Step 4

Click on “Understand and Turn on” to proceed.

Step 5

Enter the One-Time-Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 6

You will see a confirmation message after which you’re set!

To turn off the Push Notification Alerts:

Step 1

Click on “Manage Alerts” in the “Notifications Hub” screen.

Step 2

Click on the “Notification Inbox Alerts” on and off toggle button. Once you toggle the option to ‘off’ you will receive a Notification requesting if you like to proceed.

Step 3

Click on “Yes” to proceed with turning Push Notification Alerts off.

Step 4

You will see the “Notification Inbox Alerts” toggle off.

  • When the client activates the Push Notification, the client will receive notices and communications (including but not limited to marketing communications if provided that the client has consented to the Bank to use the data for direct marketing through mobile messages channel) via Notification Hub service, although the bank may send notices and communications to the client in connection with the bank’s banking agreement using other communication channels, including fax, email or SMS.
  • After the client completes the registration process of our SC Mobile app, in order for the client to use the Notification Hub service, the client must ensure that Push Notification continues to be enabled on the mobile device and the client has internet or mobile data connectivity.
  • Push Notification is a service provided by Apple, Google and Huawei for their respective mobile operating systems i.e. iOS and Android respectively through which an iOS or Android mobile app can send a user (who has installed the mobile app) a notification.

Yes, the SC Mobile App will be available on all three app stores.

Standard Chartered Mobile Application is supported on Apple devices with iOS 14 or higher and smart phones with Android 10 or higher. Kindly ensure your device meets the minimum operating system requirements to access our Online Banking and SC Mobile App services.

  • Step 1: Visit SC Mobile app login screen.
  • Step 2: Click “No login credentials”.
  • Step 3: Register with either your:
    • Standard Chartered Debit Card details
    • Standard Chartered Credit Card details (Please note that the credit card option is for clients who only hold a credit card with the bank.)
    • Temporary ID and SMS PIN (expires within 5 working days of registration)
  • Step 4: Verify your details and click ‘Next’.
  • Step 5: Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Step 6: Create Login user ID and password.
  • Step 7: You are now registered for Online Banking and the SC Mobile app.
  • Step 8: To login, you will need to register for Standard Chartered Mobile Key, click here to get further details on Standard Chartered Mobile Key.
  • Step 1: Tap the face / finger icon on the login screen of SC Mobile App, and select “Enable Now”.
  • Step 2: Enable Face ID / Touch ID with your SC Mobile Banking username and password. Read carefully and accept the Terms and Conditions.
  • Step 3: Complete by enabling the function to start logging in with your Face ID / Touch ID.
  • Step 1: Visit SC Mobile app login screen.
  • Step 2: Click “Forgot?”.
  • Step 3: Reset your password with either your Standard Chartered Debit Card or Credit Card details (Please note that the credit card option is for clients who only hold a credit card with the bank.)
  • Step 4: Verify your details and click ‘Next’.
  • Step 5: Enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Step 6: Create your new log in details (Username or Password).

No. Simply go to the app store of your mobile device’s operating system to upgrade your SC Mobile App, and you can use the new SC Mobile App right away. Your Username, Password, SC Mobile Key, Face ID / Touch ID will remain unchanged. You do not have to register for SC Mobile App again or reset your SC Mobile Key.

We have redesigned the user interface to support the enhanced interface and login time. Yet, you can still go to SC Online Banking to set up your “Account Nick Name”, following which the same will be reflected in your SC Mobile App.

In line with our system upgrade, your SC Mobile App will no longer display your messages in the “Inbox” of SC Mobile App. Yet, you may continue to access such messages via SC Online Banking. Please note that messages sent to you via SMS and Email notifications will not be affected.

Yes, transactions done on the Supplementary Credit Card will be displayed under the Primary Credit Card transactions listing.

Push Notification is an enhancement to your SC Mobile App to enable you to receive Push Notification alerts for your banking transactions. It will be a Notification Centre that will centrally store all your Push Notifications from Standard Chartered for 180 days.

  • Step 1: On the SC Mobile app Home Screen, click on the bell icon to visit the “Notifications Hub”.

If you enable Push Notification alerts in the SC Mobile App, you will only receive Push Notifications and email alerts. Your SMS alerts will be discontinued thereafter.

You will continue to receive your banking alerts via SMS and/or email.
