The Bank may vary, modify, add, delete or otherwise revise any of the terms and conditions governing the promotion. It may also terminate, withdraw, extend/shorten the promotion at any time at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, without prior notice or reason (and the Bank shall not be obliged to disclose its reason for doing so).
The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with the promotion, including your eligibility for the Gifts and/or promotion and/or the amount of interest that you are entitled to receive. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to this promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
Your account/s with the Bank must be validly existing (i.e. must not be suspended, cancelled or terminated), in good standing, and always conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner, as determined by the Bank in its sole and absolute discretion.
The minimum investment amount will continue to apply for the Mutual Funds product lumpsum investment and Smart Savings Plan.
The Wall Street Journal Offer Terms and Conditions
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) 12-month complimentary digital membership offered by Standard Chartered Bank UAE is only valid from 01 Jan 2021 to 31 March 2021 (both dates inclusive).
Client will be entitled for a 12-month complimentary digital membership to WSJ.com after their first Online Mutual Funds investment transaction via SC Mobile app during the stated campaign period. Investment transaction means “subscribing” to Mutual Funds. Redeeming / selling Mutual Funds is excluded from this offer.
For joint accounts, only one complimentary WSJ digital membership code will be given after the first successful Online Mutual Funds investment transaction.
The complimentary membership is not transferable or exchangeable for cash, credit or any other items in part or in whole. This offer is strictly non-transferable, non-assignable and non-exchangeable, whether in full or in part.
Life Insurance Products Terms and Conditions
Only regular premium life insurance products are eligible for this promotion (Global Choice, Futura & International Term assurance (ITA). Wealth Accumulation Plan is excluded from this offer.

Two months’ free premium – All clients will be liable to pay the 1st premium, following which the Bank will credit the 2nd and 3rd month premiums into the eligible client’s bank account on the due date. For Term Plan policies where the payment frequency is annual or quarterly, the bank will credit an amount equivalent to 2nd and 3rd month’s premium to the eligible client’s account. Example: For an annual premium of $2,400, the 2nd and 3rd month’s equivalent premium of $400 will be credited.
General Insurance Products Terms and Conditions
AXA Motor Insurance, Home Insurance, Travel Insurance Promotion is valid for new insurance policies (excluding renewals) issued by AXA for customers of Standard Chartered UAE by 31 March 2021 and may be subjected to minimum premium criteria.
Renewal policies may be excluded from AXA Insurance Promotions.
Back to Invoice cover for total loss: If your car is under 24 months old and declared a total loss, at AXA’s decision we will either reimburse you: a) The purchase price of Your Vehicle (minus any additional charges including but not limited to charges for non-manufacturer accessories and finance charges); or: b) The current retail price of purchasing a brand new vehicle of the same model as Your current vehicle.
Emergency Medical expenses related to infectious disease includes:
Coverage in case of illness due to an infectious disease (epidemic/pandemic) in any country apart from the country the Trip originated.
Coverage of up to USD 100 per day for mandated quarantine expenses up to for a maximum of 15 days in any country apart from the country the Trip originated, following a positive diagnosis.
Coverage for any reasonable and customary additional costs incurred for changing flights if, following a positive diagnosis for an infectious disease, if a customer is unable to take the existing flight home.
The benefits listed are subject to specific plan limits, and all applications are subject to underwriting and acceptance by AXA.
