Supporting a diverse supply chain in Korea
Hear from two of our key diverse suppliers on how we’ve helped advance inclusive growth, innovation, and positive community impact.
Unlocking diverse potential in Korea
As supplier diversity continues to mature in Korea, we are taking a proactive, ecosystem-led approach to identifying and engaging diverse suppliers through industry networks, credit rating agencies, and relevant institutions.
We’ve focused on clear engagement and now work with nearly 100 diverse suppliers across our Korean network. Hear from two of our key diverse suppliers on how we’ve helped advance inclusive growth, innovation, and positive community impact.
Delivering through inclusion with Otto Monitor
Otto Monitor is disability-inclusive company which provides media and data monitoring in Korea. The organisation has strengthened our client responsiveness with market and reputational intelligence by consolidating bank-related news, social media updates, and wider industry coverage into clear, accessible reports. This service has allowed SCB Korea early visibility of emerging topics, media sentiment, and potential issues to support stronger client engagement in a fast-moving market environment.

“When we first started working with the SCB Korea, our solutions were not as advanced as they are today. Working with a large corporation required us to continuously improve our systems and processes. Through ongoing communication with the SCB Korea’s team, we received valuable feedback on what functions and insights were truly needed. This feedback played an important role in improving our technology and services and helped us grow as a company.
Throughout our partnership we have learnt that collaboration and open communication are key to delivering better solutions. The partnership has also shown us that inclusive businesses like ours can create both social value and high-quality professional services.”

From opportunity to innovation with Bizmarket
We identified commerce platform Bizmarket as a small business who could support our Wealth and Retail Banking with a dedicated customer gift platform. This technology has allowed our colleagues to interact with clients in a more positive and streamlined way.

“Through our partnership with the SCB Korea, we have been able to develop structured procurement systems and improve our operational capabilities. This has enabled us to expand our platform and strengthen our supplier ecosystem. Through initiatives such as the “social enterprise marketplace” and value-based campaigns, we have been able to support more partners while creating new business opportunities.
One important lesson we learned is that inclusive partnerships can create real business value. By working together with SCB Korea, we have been able to build a supply ecosystem where both commercial success and social impact can grow together.”

Expanding our programme
We’re proud of what we have built in Korea and across all our markets but we’re not standing still. To extend our impact beyond our direct supplier base, we are expanding our programme by engaging larger non-diverse suppliers to identify, support, and create opportunities for diverse businesses within their own supply chains. This approach helps scale inclusive procurement, strengthen market participation, and amplify our commitment to leaving no markets behind.
