When you shop with a Platinum Rewards credit card, you are bound to earn reward points on almost anything you purchase. For dining and fuel expenditure you gain accelerated rewards, which comes to about 5x reward points for every INR 150 you spend. For every other category, you can earn 1x reward points for the same amount spent on purchases.

The Platinum Rewards credit card comes with comfortable fee rates. In the first year, you are required to pay only INR 250. The renewal fee, which commences from the 2nd year onwards, is also INR 250.
While there is a first year and renewal fee for the Platinum Rewards credit card, this is not a requirement for its supplementary cardholders. Joining offers are also not applicable for supplementary cards.
The Standard Chartered Dial-a-Loan feature is available for Platinum Rewards credit card users. You can avail loan amounts* up to INR 5,00,000 and enjoy a flexible tenure on your repayment, ranging between 12 and 60 months.
You can earn 5x reward points on every INR 150 spent on dining or on fuel expenditure as well as 1x reward points on the same amount for purchases made in all other categories with no monthly limit to your reward points.

Credit card transactions with Merchant Category Code (MCC) 6513 are covered under Rental Payments.
A Merchant Category Code (MCC) is a four-digit number assigned to a merchant/business by the merchant’s acquiring bank. These are defined by networks e.g. Visa, MasterCard.
A processing fee of 1% (plus taxes) would be applicable to all rental transactions. This fee will be over and above any charges applied by the merchant as communicated to the client at the time of transaction.
For example – If you pay INR 20,000 on a third-party rent payment platform using your Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card, 1% of transaction amount i.e. INR 200 plus taxes will be charged as a processing fee
Processing fee on rental payments will be effective from April 02, 2023.
The processing fee will be levied by 15th of the next calendar month and will have a separate narration in the monthly statement.
One Time of INR 250 + GST will be levied if the client doesn’t make a retail transaction of INR 500 or more within 30 days from card issuance. One-time fee is charged in subsequent statement after 60 days completion of Card Set up Month. Example: If the card is set up month is Jan 23, then one time would be charged in statement of April 23.
