Following are the program qualification criteria for Priority Banking:
FUM (Funds Under Management) includes anyone, or the combination of the following products from the Bank: Savings Accounts, Term Deposits, Investments made through the Bank, Life-to-date (total) paid-up life insurance premium for policies in force, market value of demat holdings in the depository account held with SCSI.
Please note, if one family member maintains the qualification/eligibility criteria, rest of the family members can enjoy Priority benefits.
Upto 5 family members can enjoy the same status if one member qualifies.
To start a Priority banking relationship, you need to provide an initial account opening cheque of INR 5 lakhs, thereafter one needs to build minimum FUM of INR 50 lakhs within 3 months of account opening.
Alternatively, you will need to have a minimum monthly net salary credit of INR 3 lakh/month or mortgage outstanding as per the program qualification criteria defined by the bank.
In case the client fails to maintain the program qualification criteria for Priority Banking, bank may choose to downgrade the relationship to a lower tier with 30 days’ notice.
Additionally, please note that program maintenance charges will not be levied for clients holding Saving Accounts with a minimum monthly average balance of INR 5 Lakhs. At any point if outstanding balance falls below the amount mentioned, client has to either restore the amount by way of top-up or meet the FUM / Program qualification criteria.
Once you become eligible for the Priority Banking program, bank will send you an email invite for upgrading your relationship with Standard Chartered. Post your consent for the upgrade, you will get full access to the program.
