Improving access to electricity in Nigeria

We contributed to the Azura-Edo Independent Power Project in Nigeria, the first of its kind in 15 years.

How it will help

Plugging Africa’s power gap is crucial for its economic growth, and as the region’s biggest economy, Nigeria plays a critical role.

The 450 MW of power the Azura-Edo Independent Power Project will generate, will help support Nigeria's population growth; estimated to reach 230 million within the next 20 years, and create over 1,000 local jobs.
