Liz Lloyd, CBE

Liz joined Standard Chartered in 2007, initially within Group Compliance, focused on regulatory risk and regulatory relationships, before being appointed as Group Head of Public Affairs, responsible for co-ordinating the Bank's policies and positioning on all political and regulatory matters. In January 2013, she was appointed CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania, a position she held until 2015. Liz was elected Vice-Chair of the Tanzania Bankers' Association in 2015.
Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Liz spent her early career in public policy in the UK government and held a number of roles as Special Advisor in Number 10 Downing Street on home affairs, Africa and climate change to the then UK Prime Minister, Rt. Hon Tony Blair. She held this position until 2005 when she was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff.
Liz holds a BA in Law and History from the University of Cambridge. She received a CBE in 2008.
