our programmes Financial Markets Apprenticeship programme

Where ambition meets impact

Financial Markets is part of our Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking (CCIB) team. We support our clients in managing trading risk, raising capital and diversifying investments. It’s a business about relationships and working closely with clients across our global network. Our clients include large corporations, governments, banks and investors operating or investing in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Americas. We offer our clients a comprehensive range of products which means there’s lots for you to learn and get involved in.

What you'll experience

On our 3 year programme you’ll start your journey by being immersed in the exciting and fast-paced trading floor environment. You’ll be working alongside professionals to gain experience of trading and client management while you study.

You’ll initially work towards the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments (CISI) qualifications including the Investments Operations Specialist apprenticeship. This strong foundation will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to fast track you to the Level 6 Financial Services Professional apprenticeship where you will complete a Financial Modelling project and gain the industry recognised CFA level 1 qualification.

What's CCIB?

When you’re part of the Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking team at Standard Chartered Bank, it gives you the opportunity to be more. You get to be  more innovative, empowered and impactful and take your career as far as you want it to go. This is a place where ambition meets impact which means you will have plenty of opportunities to work on challenging projects, learn new skills and make a meaningful difference to the world.
