Insight Programme
Your launchpad into Corporate & Investment Banking
Our Insight Programme is an in-person experience designed for first year students (or second year of a four-year degree) who want to explore a career in Corporate & Investment Banking.
Over several immersive days, you’ll gain insight into how a global bank operates, meet our people, and start building the skills and confidence needed for a career in banking.
The programme runs each year on the following dates:
- February – New York
- April – London
It offers early exposure to our global teams, collaborative culture, and the diverse career paths available to you across the Bank.
What you’ll experience
You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at life at Standard Chartered, through a mix of interactive sessions, business overviews and real-world exposure.
From learning how our teams support clients across global markets, to understanding how different parts of the Bank work together, you’ll see how theory translates into practice.
You’ll take part in practical activities designed to build your skills, strengthen your commercial awareness and help you understand what success looks like in a global banking environment.
No prior banking knowledge or experience is required – curiosity and engagement are key.
Is it for me?
This programme is for curious, motivated students at an early stage of their degree who want to understand the breadth of opportunities within Corporate & Investment Banking.
We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds and value diverse perspectives, experiences and ways of thinking.
You don’t need a specific degree or experience, we’re looking for students with a strong interest in banking, a willingness to learn, and the potential to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
